DJ36 here I come! Ahhhh I love seeing IWC on here. I have an Addiesdive that homages this pretty well, but this checks off the box in an entirely .From my viewpoint, the two models are two different kind of watches. IWC sporty, Longines dressy. So it really depends on its intended use and your preferences. If you chose IWC you might want to consider the Mark XX (V7F) instead of the Mark XVIII. Also, the less complicated a Rep the less prone to malfunction. Just for your consideration.
Edit. Another thing to consider, ETA 2892 /SW300 are very thin movements that enable IWC to keep their watches around 10 - 11mm thick. Omegas, especially the ones with the date are much more chunky. After getting used to the thickness of Mark, I have a trouble wearing anything over 12-13mm, just feels uncomfortable and heavy.

Appearance-wise, I'm happy to report that this watch is absolutely immaculate and totally impeccable. In the rep the crown is flush with the case. Not in the gen. Probably the problem is not the crown itself but the case. Curious to see the price though. The gen crown sits flush, it's just the inner side is beveled on the newer crowns, factory is using the older style crown that came on previous pilots. P.
